With all that being said, here are the best free audio/video converters for Windows. These are quite humble specs, so unless you have an extremely old computer, you should have no issue running all of the programs mentioned below if I can run it, you probably can too.

basic editing features) to differentiate the programs.Īll testing was performed on an Acer Aspire 5315 with a T7500 2.2GHZ Core2Duo processor and 2GB DDR2 RAM running Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. We of course tested each program but instead of looking at the above-mentioned parameters (since they all do well in those areas), we looked at things such as usability and features beyond conversion (e.g. So neither of these factors are what we used to differentiate the programs.

All of them also support a wide variety of presets for devices such as mobile phones and gaming systems, plus have excellent conversion quality and speed and support batch processing. This review is part of our Best Free Windows Software section. Keep reading to learn which of these converters if worth your time and effort. Luckily we have access to free audio/video converters like the ones reviewed in this article! These programs allow us to change format, quality, resolution, and several other parameters as we desire they help to virtually eliminate the problem of unsupported formats on different devices. However, our audio and video files are not always in a desirable format and we may come across formats that are not supported by all our devices (phone, tablet, etc.). Since, there was only the two of us it was easy to communicate and complete the assignment.Just as with digital photos, audio and video files have become an integral part of our everyday lives. I am sure if there were more team members it would have been more difficult collaborating and dividing up the work. Honestly, this was a great experience and there isn’t anything I would change.

What would you do differently if you had to develop a similar product again? Kit and I discussed our group project and supported each other on other class assignments. We never had a problem or miscommunication within our team.

We communicated through, email, post on discussion forums, web conferencing and cell phones. Kit and I had great communication during the entire project. Kit was familiar with SlideRocket, we decided to go with SlideRocket as our final presentation tool. PowerDirector had limited features with less then perfect quality. It was good for trimming the videos but we were not happy with the results. What did you learn during the development process of the final product? As a groupwe planned to use PowerDirector, a photo editing tool, to tie all the elements together. There is also a real-time Twitter link that displays updates. Some of the videos that are used in our presentation are linked from YouTube. We used iWisoft Flash/SWF to convert the (.swf) files from Jing to (.avi) files in order to upload the files to non-flash videos. To develop our short video clips we used Jing.

Our group used SlideRocket as our tool to present our Group Leadership Final Project. What tool did your group use to deliver the PD tutorial? Why?
